Troy
is Roy Hareven. The Hareven family
immigrated to Israel at the end of the
19th century. Originally, it’s Secili
family who changed its name to Steinberg
and later to Hareven. The father of the
Israeli dynasty bought his passport from a
man named Steinberg. Troy’s grandmother
was a piano teacher. Troy was born in
Haifa, grew up in Haifa, and lives and
creates in Haifa. He is also a journalist.
According to Troy, to live in Haifa means
to actually live the city’s life. Sleepy
on one hand, and full of blessed
inspiration and the suitable tranquility
for making music, on the other. He
recorded this last album “Definition”
(one of four) in his studio – Megasound.
“Definition” contains of avant-garde,
ambient, industrial music, it’s
atmospheric and the majority of the lyrics
