POOKH was established in 1996, by Motky
Sherubini. The label has put
a goal for itself to find and promote new artists and new Israeli music. With each year it
becomes very hard, more and more, for young/new/
original artists to have a breakthrough to the local and the international audience. It is impossible to say that the local media: TV, radio stations,
newspapers (not the internet though ...), backup such activity.
We, at POOKH, believe that, especially, indie and prudent labels can cope with this situation. The good, the colourful and the aggressive ones will stay. We
are looking all the time for new talents who create throughout all of the music genres in
Israel and the world.
Independent music, electronic music, pop and contemporary classical music. In
Hebrew and in other languages.
The great advantage of POOKH is that the artists can find all the possible ways in order to promote their music, no matter
at what stage it is, with the
experience, contacts, knowledge, professional
ability and understanding of POOKH with the music
world, and all that at attractive production costs
