Ofir
Avni, 23
y.o, originally from Beer-Sheva.
During
2000 he has moved to Tel Aviv, (The Big
City) in order to create and play music in
the right and inspiring environment for
him.
His
tunes and the songs’ arrangements, which
he shared together with Dotan Tevet, 23
y.o., without him he felt like “drowning
into the chords, suffering from blindness
and that Dotan’s ten fingers made one
big band that saved a lot of pain”, are
capturing and imaginative. The lyrics are
a real rock’n’roll language, direct,
not too sophisticated, exciting and
intentionally break the rules. These three
components in addition to his fragile and
innocent vocal convey the listener a large
scale of feelings and colours.
The
debut album, “As It Seems To Me”, is
the first reaction of an Israeli-Jewish
musician to the new political situation in
Israel, which has started in October 2000,
the beginning of the New Intifada, and
reflects the general mood, since most of
the songs have been written and recorded
during the last two years.
